If you grew up in the Detroit Area in the late 60's - early 1970's you may have spent some time on Belle Isle on the Detroit River. You might have even stood looking onto the Detroit Yacht Club grounds wondering what life was life at an exclusive Yacht Club.
This Menu gives you a glimpse of what it was like. This is a 1971 Menu from the Detroit Yacht Club Restaurant.

If you were privileged enough you could have dined on a dinner of Roast Prime Rib of Western Beef for $5.50 which included Soup or Juice, Potatoes, Vegetable and Salad with choice of dressing.
If you wanted lighter fare you could order A La Carte - Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail $1.50 or Oysters Rockefeller $2.50. A bowl of soup was 45 cents. If you were in the mood for a sandwich you could get Corned Beef for $1.00 or a Hamburger for 85 cents. Want a Salad you could get The Chef's Salad bowl for 90 cents. In the mood for dessert a D.Y.C. Parfait was 75 cents or home baked pie was 45 cents.

The menu is good condition. It's 12 1/2" tall by 11 3/4" wide. The Dinner menu insert is a color photo copy of a original.
