This is a 50 page soft cover 8 1/4" x 10" book, Published in 1972 celebrating Detroit Radio Station WJR's 50 years in broadcasting.
The book begins with1922's saying WJR started off as WCX founded by the Detroit Free Press in response to the Detroit News radio station WWJ.

Through text and pictures this book traces the history decade by decade ending in the early 1970's by showcasing the talent of the time.

If you grew up in Detroit many of the people went on to become Detroit radio legends. Karl Hass, Mike Whorf, Jimmy Launce, Marc Avery and J.P. McCarthy.

The last few pages have all the behind the scenes people who worked at the radio station in 1972 from account executives and engineers, to billing clerk and secretaries.

Book is in excellent condition for being 36 years old. No wear at all. It looks Brand New.
