are from the First Season.

Give Me A Ring Sometime
Original Airdate: 09/30/82 Season 1, Episode 1
Well-bred bride-to-be Diane Chambers finds herself the center of
attention at a cozy bar called Cheers( while she waits for her fiancé to
return with his ex-wife's ring. At closing time the handsome proprietor,
Sam Malone, makes jilted and jobless Diane an offer she can't refuse in
the pilot episode of "Cheers."

Harry ``The Hat'' comes in to Cheers and short changes Coach
and Cheers is abuzz when Sam's former baseball teammate-turned-TV
sportscaster, Dave Richards, shows up to film a "What Ever Happened To
Sam Malone" story -- but Sam's ego takes a terrible blow when Richard
drops him mid-interview for a shot at John McEnroe.

After a
ruined romance with an intellectual, Diane's prim friend Rebecca
confides she's looking for a fling with someone earthy -- and to Diane's
dismay she sets her sights on Sam. Diane tries in vain to block the
date. However, Sam and Rebecca do arrange a rendezvous with surprising
results.

Eventually the gang all tries to help in their
way, but it turns out that Sam has the right answer to Diane's problem.
Diane's Perfect Date
Original Airdate: 02/10/83 Season 1, Episode 17
Sam and Diane dare each other to find the other's perfect date, but Sam
thinks that Diane is going to fix him up with herself, so he doesn't get
anyone. But when Diane comes in with Gretchen, Sam tries hard to find
someone for Diane. He finds Andy, an ex-convict, who provides Diane with
an interesting evening.

The Tortelli Tort Original
Airdate: 10/14/82 Season 1, Episode 3
When Ed Kellner, an avowed Yankee fan, comes into Cheers, a decidedly
Red Sox bar, there is certain to be friction. But when he berates Sam
for his drinking problem, Carla comes to the rescue and attacks Ed. When
Ed decides to sue Cheers, Sam has no choice but to fire Carla or get her
into therapy.
The Coach's Daughter Original Airdate: 10/28/82 Season 1, Episode 5
When Coach announces that his daughter is bringing her new fiancé, Roy,
to the bar, everyone is excited until they realize he is a complete
slimeball. While the Coach tries to convince his daughter that she
shouldn't marry him, Diane looks for the good in the good-for-nothing
suit salesman.
Pick A Con ... Any Con
Original Airdate: 02/24/83 Season 1, Episode 19
Everyone felt that the Coach's daily gin games with George were a good
way for Coach to relate with someone his age until they found out they
he had been losing large amounts of money. So the gang tries to even
with George by going to Harry for help, but they end up getting
double-crossed in the end.

Coach Returns to Action Original Airdate: 11/25/82 Season 1, Episode 9
When the Coach invites a woman who is new in
his building down to Cheers, he is shocked when Sam starts hitting on
her since he has a secret crush on her. Diane tries to convince Sam not
to pursue her, but doesn't have any luck since the Coach has sworn Diane
to secrecy.
Meanwhile, Carla struggles with a plumbing problem,
so everyone has to use the restroom at Melville's.
The Spy Who Came In For A Cold One
Original Airdate: 12/16/82 Season 1, Episode 12
The bar
patrons are all enthralled by the mysterious gentleman who claims to be
a secret agent. When Diane scares away the
good-natured old yarn-teller, she feels bad and tries to make up for it
by listening to his poetry. She finds it increasingly difficult to tell
when he is lying and when he is telling the truth, and the gang gives
her a hard time. But when he tries to buy the bar from Sam, the Cheers
gang are the ones who are embarrassed.

When Sam enters Diane in the ``Boston Barmaid'' contest without telling
her, he doesn't expect her negative reaction. But Diane decides that by
continuing in the contest, she will have an opportunity to express her
feelings about these types of contests.
