Description
Back in the old days soda
pop came in glass bottles and tasted much better then what we have
now-a-days in Plastic & Aluminum in cans.
Pepsi was the Best!
What I have here is 3
Pepsi bottles from my Uncles estate. (He saved everything.) There is
one 8 oz. Bottle, one 12 oz. and a 16 oz.
The 8 oz bottle is 18 3/4 " tall the 12 oz is just a hair over 9 3/4"
and the 16 oz bottle is a 16th of an inch over 11".
One side had Pepsi Cola in script and the other side has Pepsi with
the registered mark in the type they used back then. All look almost
new. The only flaw is the 16 oz bottle has a bit of wear from being
reused as that is how soda bottles were used back then. Bottles were
sent back to the plant, washes and reused. Also included is 3 original
bottle caps that are labeled bottled under the authority of Pepsi Cola
Metropolitan Bottling Co. Detroit, Mich, 48203.
The bottom of the 16 oz has a bottle mark B in a circle from the
Brockway Glass Company with the #67. The 12 oz has the B in a
circle with the # 69 also #22. The 8 ox bottle has the B in a circle
with the number 70 and also 13.
