Description

This is a Match Stick Holder designed by Phil Papal Importers Anaheim, CA.
It's two 4 1/4" Lucite plastic tiles. The bottom of the tile is marked Homart
(Think of those tacky pink plastic tiles in 1950's bathrooms)
Sandwiched between the two tiles are 4 Matchbooks from the Ohio Match Company, a division of Hunt Wesson. (Hunt Wesson merged together in 1960).

Matchbooks are full and unused.

The top of the Matchstick holder has the Original Phil Papal Importers sticker with Lucite plastic golden grapes with Green leaves.

Who would think to go to Sears and buy the Homart plastic tile, then go to Ralph's or Von's Grocery stores and get Ohio Match Company matches put some Plastic grapes on top and come up with a nice early 1960's piece of art!
