Description

This is a 6 3/4" spoon from the 1979 Hallmark National Audubon Society commemorative American Bird Spoon Series.

It is the Eastern BlueBird and comes in a blue velvet pouch.

From my research It was designed by artist Betty Chaisson and made in Gold vermeil with a champleve enameled Eastern Bluebird on the handle. Also in my research I learned that Gold vermeil is sterling silver plated with carat gold. Gold plated sterling gives the look of solid high carat gold at an affordable price.
